Tax
In Berlin, as of April 1st, 2024, a city tax applies to overnight stays. Exceptions apply to students on class trips and school excursions (with presentation of a school certificate). However, as of this date, teachers are no longer exempt from the city tax. Similarly, overnight stays by associations, foundations, and religious communities are subject to the city tax.
